Would you like to know more about what the Construction and Engineering Industry is doing to be more “Green”, our plans for the future and how we’ve made big strides and even bigger commitments to the UK’s Global Net-Zero Carbon aims by 2050?

Skanska UK and Network Rail are leading international Construction and Railway Experts in the industry and would like to share what they’ve learnt and continue to learn over the decades of experience of delivering successful project work.

Infrastructure Projects (IP) central is the national infrastructure delivery division within Skanska UK, we work with Network Rail and are responsible for all major infrastructure delivery works. This means that we make sure everything is ready for HS2 trains to be built and run from Euston Station in London all the way to Birmingham.

Social and Environmental Sustainability is at the core of what we do and at every stage within our all our projects.

This is an opportunity to spend a week with our Environmental team, learning all about what we do to be environmentally sustainable, the new and interesting ways we’re reducing our carbon footprint from zero-carbon buildings to interesting green materials.

There will be both presentations, webinars and guest speakers during the week and you will constantly be learning through tasks and activities that cover:

· An introduction to Skanska UK, Infrastructure Project Central and Network Rail and the impact that the construction industry has on the environment

· Sustainable design and green materials like cement you can see through and paint that charges phones!
