Although women are capable of the many and varied roles in construction, currently only 12.5% of the sector`s employees are female.

Midland Metro Alliance (MMA) is a team of planning, design and construction specialists building a number of new tram extensions across the West Midlands and is delighted to host Women in Rail West Midlands with engineering colleagues at different stages of their careers presenting their journeys to inform and inspire young people to consider rail as a fantastic opportunity to develop long term careers.

Women In Rail West Midlands are proud to be a diverse organisation and wanted to showcase the career paths available within the rail industry to inform and inspire the next generation. We are delivering a 1.5 hour virtual session from 1.30pm-3pm on 27th September 2021

Rose Rees Head of Engagement & Skills at Midland Metro Alliance will also give an introduction how to apply for apprenticeships and tips on negotiating employers` assessment processes.

PLEASE NOTE: This placement is open to bulk registrations from schools as well as individual applications from students. If a teacher would like to register all the students in their class, please contact experience@speakersforschools.org highlighting OPP ID 1296. Our team will then send out a separate registration form for you complete, requesting names and email addresses for individual students. This will allow us to create individual student accounts for all the students so they can log onto the session.
