Join the green revolution and put your passion for our planet into practice by joining a series of three workshops to introduce you to a range of employability opportunities.

As part of Speakers for Schools Green Skills Week campaign, national charity Young Enterprise (supported by National Grid) will be hosting three workshops aimed at raising awareness of opportunities in the Energy sector and building an understanding of the skills needed to thrive in the sector and the career pathways available.

The GRID FOR GOOD workshops will cover three key areas -

Workshop 1 - INSIGHT - explore more about the energy sector, the key priorities for the future and the wide range of roles that the energy sector will need to support this.

Workshop 2 - TEAM BUILDING - take part in an activity that National Grid use as part of their recruitment process. Understand the skills that a major national employer is looking for.

Workshop 3 - UPSKILLING - hear from members of National Grid`s recruitment team on how to showcase the skills you have in the very best way to get noticed and be successful in your applications.

By joining all three workshops you will have the opportunity to receive additional support from National Grid, such as mentoring, paid work experience and even access to apprenticeships. A Certificate of Completion is provided at the end of the workshops and an increased chance of getting through to the selection process for job opportunities within National Grid.

The three workshops will take place on the following dates:

Workshop 1 - INSIGHT - Tuesday 27th April at 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Workshop 2 - TEAM BUILDING - Wednesday 28th April at 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Workshop 3 - UPSKILLING - Thursday 29th April at 4:00pm to 5:00pm

CRITERIA -Youmust be over 16 and in Year 12 to apply for this opportunity andavailable to attend all 3 workshops .
