Insight Day - how our Police fight crime and keep us safe with the `Eye in the Sky`
PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO NOTTINGHAM CITY STUDENTS
Drones have revolutionised policing. Unmanned aircraft have become a force multiplier for law enforcement teams, providing unprecedented views of a scene or incident - helping to fight crime, plan an effective response, and keep officers safe.
As the use of the technology has exploded in recent years, the relatively low cost of drones has enabled agencies of all sizes to utilise this innovative method of policing.
Police are deploying Drones - including zoom and thermal cameras - for a range of missions, including search and rescue, crime-scene investigation, crowd control, evidence-gathering, and accident reconstruction. The ‘eye in the sky’ helps to find missing people, deter and track down offenders, as well as providing greater coverage in more remote areas.
This virtual Insight Day will immerse you into the world of Nottinghamshire Police - an action-packed day that will look like this:

· How we are leading the way with representative recruitment (why it is important that people from all of our communities are part of our workforce)
