The Music Publishers Association (www.mpaonline.org.uk) is offering one student an exciting opportunity to join them for a 1 or 2 week job shadowing/work experience around their Annual General Meeting and Summer Party.
We are a small but multi-faceted membership organisation, and this placement will offer the successful candidate a taste of many of the different areas that we cover including:
The placement will include time shadowing different members of our 13-strong team, particularly our Events Manager and Legal Counsel as they prepare for the Annual General Meeting and Summer Party.
The event takes place on 3rd July at Kings Place (just down the road from our offices in Kings Cross), the theme this year is “Deeds Not Words” to coincide with 100 years since women won the right to vote, it being the motto of the suffragette movement, and will include a panel discussion from prominent music industry figures and influencers.

Students who have not previously had work experience, do not have access to other opportunities (such as via parents) and qualify for FSM or Pupil Premium are especially encouraged to apply.

The Music Publishers Association exists to:
- Safeguard and promote the interests of music publishers and the writers signed to them
- Represent these interests to government, the music industry, the media and the public
- Provide publishers with a forum, a collective voice and a wide range of benefits, services and training courses
- Promote an understanding of the value of music and the importance of copyright; and
provide information and guidance to members of the public.
We currently have around 300 members, representing nearly 4000 catalogues, covering every genre of music.
