The Music Publishers Association (www.mpaonline.org.uk) is offering one student an exciting opportunity to join them for a 1 or 2 week job shadowing/work experience around their Annual General Meeting and Summer Party.

We are a small but multi-faceted membership organisation, and this placement will offer the successful candidate a taste of many of the different areas that we cover including:

  • Events
  • Communications
  • Corporate Governance

The placement will include time shadowing different members of our 13-strong team, particularly our Events Manager and Legal Counsel as they prepare for the Annual General Meeting and Summer Party.

The event takes place on 3rd July at Kings Place (just down the road from our offices in Kings Cross), the theme this year is “Deeds Not Words” to coincide with 100 years since women won the right to vote, it being the motto of the suffragette movement, and will include a panel discussion from prominent music industry figures and influencers.

Before applying please note:

  • Students will need to be able to be at the MPA Offices in Kings Cross 1000 - 1700 each day for the entirety of the placement. Site visits may be conducted with the Events Manager and on 3rd July you will be required to be at Kings Place all day (hours TBC)
  • Final deadline for applications is Wednesday, 6th June (though students may be selected before this so please apply ASAP)
  • Be sure to read all the details as applications will be selected based on enthusiasm and open-mindedness for this specific opportunity, organisation and industry.
