Welcome to the West of England Combined Authority (WECA). WECA covers the areas of Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire. WECA has responsibility for businesses and skills, transport, innovation and the environment. These areas have a direct effect on the people who live and work here.

We would like you to join us for a three-day virtual work experience and share your thoughts and ideas with us. We will teach you about WECA, the organisation, its aims, its opportunities, and ambitions for the region.

You will have the opportunity to take part in workshops covering the environment, housing, and transport. There will also be activities for you to contribute to as well as pitches and presentations to be created.

You will have support from our many experts from across the different teams all the way. You will be able to improve your problem solving, creativity, communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.

Our first virtual work experience will be taking place Monday 28 June to Wednesday 30 June. The days will run from 9.30am until approximately 3pm.

We welcome all applications but priority places will be given to students living within the WECA area.
