Passionate about reading? Do you see being a writer in your future? This is a five week unique and interactive opportunity for you to connect with thousands of other teen readers across the UK to share in the first virtual book club. Between 3.30pm and 4.30pm every Wednesday for five weeks, you will be able to share your thoughts on our chosen book. You’ll be meeting writing heroes and completing engaging activities that help you become a better reader and writer. You can also explore careers in the literary world.

Your participation in the National Teen Book Club means you will get special access to purchase the e-book for the discounted price of £0.99. The next book is Eight Pieces of Silva by Patrice Lawrence. Over the five weeks, you will read the book and each Wednesday between 3.30pm and 4.30pm we will meet online to:

- Discuss the book in breakout rooms with young people across the UK, meeting a mixture of diverse teens with a variety of viewpoints.

- Meet award winning authors as well as comedy writers, music writers, journalists, publishers and other writing heroes in a live Q&A.

- Interactive activities for you to complete with other young people in the weekly events and independently offline. There is also a creative writing opportunity related to the book.

At the end of the five weeks, there will be a graduating finale. The finale event is a live Q&A with Patrice Lawrence. This is your chance to share your views on the book, ask questions, learn more about how Patrice became an author and her writing process.
