Skanska UK Virtual Work Experience: COP26, Sustainability & Environmental Impact

Available Between

Would you like to learn about the upcoming COP26 conference with the UN, how COP26 will affect the roles within the Construction and Engineering industry, where you can potentially use your transferable skills and what potential Environmental and Digital roles lie ahead for you?

Skanska UK are a leading Construction and Engineering expert and would like to share what their Environmental and Digital teams have learnt, and continue to learn, over the decades of experience delivering successful projects. Skanska UK are currently responsible for both the M42 and A428 improvement projects. Our Environmental team is having to adapt to create communities and natural habitats not only as apart of their Biodiversity commitments, but also for the expected outcomes of COP26. Our Digital teams will also respond to COP26 by innovating and implementing new procedures that cover storage of data, procuring new technology and reducing energy consumption.

This is an opportunity to spend a week with experts, from an Environmental and Digital standpoint, and learn about the new and interesting ways they’re helping to innovate the Construction industry to be more sustainable. There will be presentations, webinars, and guest speakers during the week, and you will constantly be learning through tasks and activities that cover:

· COP26; what it is, how our Environmental and Digital teams will respond to it, what’s meant by ‘hitting 1.5 degrees’ and ‘mobilise finances’, and how you can get involved.

· A day in the life of our Environmental and Digital experts at work.

· The opportunity to gain insight into the Construction and Engineering industry as a whole, and so much more!

We look forward to virtually meeting you!
