This is an unique opportunity to spend the week (digitally!) with UK New Artists, learning all about jobs in the arts industry and gaining a qualification in the process!

UK New Artists (formerly UK Young Artists) champions the next generation of creativity. We work with artists across all art forms on local, national and international projects, providing opportunities to connect and collaborate with like minded creatives around the globe.

This five day placement will include learning about how our company and the industry works, plus the chance to meet some of our staff and artist alumni to gain career insights throughout. You will learn about the arts from a number of angles - audience member, participant and artist, complete a mini project and learn new skills including review writing, interviewing and teaching. As part of the placement students will complete the Bronze Arts Award qualification (www.artsaward.org.uk/bronze) through online events and activities.

Before applying please note:

-Students who have not previously had work experience, do not have access to other opportunities (such as via parents) and qualify for FSM or Pupil Premium are especially encouraged to apply.

- Due to the time available and the breadth of the industry it is impossible to cover all art forms so please ensure that you would be interested to learn about a range of disciplines within the arts industry

- Be sure to read all the details as applications will be selected based on enthusiasm and open-mindedness for this specific opportunity, organisation and industry

- As this is a virtual work experience opportunity approximately 50% of the activities will be self-led. For example, you might spend a couple of hours with UKNA or an artist in the morning, and then complete self led tasks in the afternoon.

- The Bronze Arts Award is a Level 1 qualification. Work is completed via the creation of a portfolio of evidence of the work completed. All resources and the examination fees required to complete the award will be provided by UK New Artists.
