Diversity is essential for the success of our sites and we are proud to
celebrate Black British History.
Through
a five-day schedule of interactive webinars and group sessions, we
will support you to design your own event at one of British
Land’s sites. The week will work through the planning stages to
imagine your dream event which celebrates British Black History.
It includes
creative thinking and more practical planning and logistics. The week will
also include communication workshops around campaigning and how to get your
message across.
No experience is necessary, just open-minds, big
imaginations and a willingness to collaborate with others.
Session highlights include:

sessions with a selection of producers with real life experience
of designing fantastic events
- A masterclass in
Black British Activism
- Marketing and
Communication skills: advertising your event, promoting your
campaign
- Community
engagement: making your event inclusive
- Project
Management and practical logistics: making your event safe, risk
assessments and guidance for keeping to budget!
Placement Notes
Students from London boroughs Camden, Hackney, Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Westminster will be prioritised for this opportunity along with students from Slough.
