British Land is a leading UK property company. We create and manage places that reflect the changing needs of the people who work, visit or live in and around them- Places People Prefer.

Diversity is essential for the success of our sites and we are proud to celebrate Black British History.

Through a five-day schedule of interactive webinars and group sessions, we will support you to design your own event at one of British Land’s sites. The week will work through the planning stages to imagine your dream event which celebrates British Black History.

It includes creative thinking and more practical planning and logistics. The week will also include communication workshops around campaigning and how to get your message across.

No experience is necessary, just open-minds, big imaginations and a willingness to collaborate with others.

Session highlights include:

  • Workshops and sessions with a selection of producers with real life experience of designing fantastic events
  • A masterclass in Black British Activism
  • Marketing and Communication skills: advertising your event, promoting your campaign
  • Community engagement: making your event inclusive
  • Project Management and practical logistics: making your event safe, risk assessments and guidance for keeping to budget!
